About The Chef
Chef Erika McCallin has lived in the Denver area since moving to Colorado at the age of 12 with her family from New Orleans, LA. She graduated from Evergreen High School and later attended the University of South Carolina, receiving a bachelors degree in Finance and a minor in French. After a year of backpacking and traveling through Europe post-college, she began a career in finance with a large bank as a financial analyst. After 7 years with the bank, she decided that her passion was truly in cooking. Taking a leap of faith, she pursued her passion by attending the Professional Culinary program at Cook Street School of Fine Cooking right here in Denver. Following the completion of her program, Chef Erika went on to continue her studies by traveling once more to Europe. She attended a course at the Academia Barilla in Parma, Italy, studying Italian classic technique. She went on to Paris to study with Chef Martial, a French Master Chef. Though her passion of fine restaurant-quality food was explored through her studies, Chef Erika takes enormous pleasure cooking for families in her community as a personal chef. She loves to spend time with her husband, Colin, her young sons Logan & Tate, and her dog Bogart.
